In
time is one of the movie that bring people to think beyond the expectation . It
is really unique movie as the director changes the story by making money replace time. What we can see is the people become chaotic as their
life become limited, They live under pressure. Besides that, they
cannot predict their death and fate which always seek them.
Firstly, the chaos occur because the people have limited time and are pressured in their life. People especially at the Ghetto who are of lower class community have limited time to surviv . Time is
treated just like money and those with high income and have more savings will survive. Furthermore, they face the pressure in their life.
For example, they cannot shop as much as they love because they
are tied by the amount of time for life’s survival.There is no freedom for them
to enjoy their life as a normal person. So, if money is replaced with
time chaos will be occur because people will have limited time and they have a pressured life.
Secondly,
the consequence if money is replaced with time is the inability to predict death and fate. In this movie, time that people have is very important
because it can show how long they can still be alive until they face death. For
example, Will’s mother who just have 30 minutes runs to her house to meet his son
but she is out of the time and faces death in front Will. Other than that, someone's fate can be changed if they try to put
an effort to change it. For example, Timekeeper take almost all of Will’s time.
When Will lacks time, he robs the bank
at the Ghetto with Sylvia. So, the
consequences of replacing money with time is unpredictable death and fate.
In a nutshell, chaos and unpredictabity will
happen if money is being replaced with time. Chaos will happen when our time is
limited. It can also cause pressure to . Our life can also become unpredictable because our fate will change based on time that we have. Our
death is also unpredictable even though we know when we will die. People can
search for time everywhere as long as they they put more effort for it. Thus, if money changes
with time, it will cause many problems in our life.
